Outlet Shopping from Prague
The interesting shopping is not on the expensive streets. It is in the outlet centres around Prague and just over the German and Austrian borders, where the same labels sell at 30–70% less. Three of the four below are within an hour of the city; the fourth is a full day out and the one people plan their trip around.

Tax Free is worth the paperwork
If you live outside the EU — the UK, the United States, Canada, most of Asia — you can reclaim 11–14% of what you spend, refunded when you leave. Ask for the Tax Free form at the till, keep the receipts together, and allow extra time at the airport to have them stamped before you check the bags in.
Sales, and when they are real
Seasonal sales here are not the decorative kind. In the outlet centres the winter and summer rounds regularly take another 20–30% off prices that were already reduced. Late January and late July are the two windows worth planning around.
Getting there
Outlet centres sit outside the city on purpose, and public transport to them is slow and awkward with bags. We drive you there, wait while you shop and bring you and the shopping back — the price is per car, not per person, and the boot is the whole point.
