Karlovy Vary is well connected to Prague by coach, and for one person travelling light the coach is the cheapest way to make the trip. The road climbs out of the Teplá valley and runs east on the D6, most of which is now motorway, past Lubenec and Nové Strašecí and into Prague from the west.
