New Year's Eve Dinners in Prague and Czech Castles 2026/2027
New Year’s Eve in Prague is booked months ahead, and the evening itself is the hardest part to organise once you are here: the centre closes to traffic, taxis are scarce and every kitchen is full. Booking the table and the car together solves both.
Three kinds of evening
- Medieval taverns. A set menu with an entertainment programme, usually in a vaulted cellar in the old town — the loudest and most informal of the three.
- Castle banquets. A dinner in one of the castles outside Prague, in rooms that have not changed much in four centuries. The drive is part of the evening.
- Boat dinners on the Vltava. Dinner while the city passes the window, with the fireworks seen from the water rather than from a crowd.
Programmes booked through this page are hosted in English.
The transfer is part of the booking
When you book a dinner through us we drive you from your hotel to the venue and back afterwards. That is deliberately included: on the night of 31 December the centre is closed to cars and a ride back is the thing people underestimate.
Book before the prices move
Dinner prices in Prague rise as December goes on, and the better tables go first. Booking early is cheaper and gives you an actual choice of venue rather than whatever is left.
Getting to Prague and around
We also handle the airport run and any trips over the holidays — see private transfers in the Czech Republic and New Year in Prague and Czechia.
Ask us for dates and prices
Tell us the date, how many of you there are and where you are staying — we will come back with the options and the price.
