New Year in Prague and Czechia 2026/2027
Prague is one of the easiest cities in Europe to spend New Year in. The old town, the bridges and the river are all within walking distance of each other, the whole centre is lit for the season, and the celebration spills out onto the squares rather than hiding indoors. That is also why the city fills up early.
What we take care of
We are a Prague transfer company, so the practical side is ours. We meet you at Václav Havel Airport, take you to your hotel, drive you to your New Year’s Eve dinner and bring you back afterwards, and get you out of town for a day trip between Christmas and New Year.
- Airport transfers to and from Prague at a price fixed before the trip
- Evening transfers to festive dinners in restaurants and castles, return leg included
- Day trips to Karlovy Vary, Dresden, Vienna and other cities
Why booking early matters here
Between 27 December and 2 January the city runs at capacity. Restaurant tables, castle programmes and cars are all limited, and prices climb as the date gets closer. A few weeks of notice costs less and still leaves you a choice.
Festive dinners
New Year’s Eve dinners in Prague are held in medieval taverns, on boats on the Vltava and in castles outside the city. We can book the table and drive you there and back — see New Year’s Eve dinners in Prague.
Day trips over the holidays
The days between the two holidays are the best time to leave the city for a few hours. The usual choices are the Christmas markets in Dresden, Nuremberg, Vienna and Regensburg, and the spa town of Karlovy Vary. You can also see our excursions and day trips.
Tell us your dates
Send us the dates, the number of passengers, where we pick you up and where you are going — you get the car and the price in reply.
