The drive
The route runs east on the D11 motorway towards Hradec Králové and then north through Trutnov into the mountains. The last part climbs into the Giant Mountains, so in winter we send cars on winter tyres and leave a little extra time.
About Janské Lázně
Janské Lázně is a small spa town in the Krkonoše, the Giant Mountains, at the foot of Černá hora. The spa specialises in rehabilitation, especially of neurological conditions. A cable car runs from the town up Černá hora, the treetop walkway on its slope is one of the most popular sights in the region, and in winter the mountain is a ski area.
