Transfer from Prague to Špindlerův Mlýn

Špindlerův Mlýn is the best-known ski resort in the Czech Republic, and it lies about 150 km from Prague — roughly two hours on the road. A transfer costs €120 for the whole car: we collect you from your hotel or the airport and deliver you to the door of your hotel on the resort. Skis and snowboards travel free.

What it costs

  • Comfort, up to 4 passengers — €120 one way
  • Minivan, up to 8 passengers — €150 one way
  • The price is per car, not per person — four people means €30 each
  • A full day costs €180 (comfort) or €225 (minivan): we take you up in the morning, wait four hours free of charge and bring you back to Prague in the evening. Each further hour of waiting is €5
  • No prepayment — you pay at the end of the journey

What is included

  • Pick-up at your hotel, apartment or Prague Airport at the time you choose
  • Skis and snowboards carried free, with no oversized-luggage surcharge
  • Delivery to your hotel door in Špindlerův Mlýn, not to the edge of the village
  • Winter tyres and snow chains — from November to March that is a necessity on a mountain road, not an extra
  • Child seats and boosters — free, on request when you book
  • Meet and greet at the airport with a name board and 60 minutes of free waiting
  • A short stop on the way at no extra cost

The drive from Prague

The route runs on the D11 towards Hradec Králové, then through Jilemnice and up the Labe valley. Two hours is an honest figure in good conditions; in winter allow more, because the last stretch is a mountain road and snowfall changes the pace completely.

Our drivers run this road all season and know where it is genuinely slippery and where it only looks alarming. The car goes out on winter tyres and carries chains.

About the resort

Špindlerův Mlýn sits inside the Krkonoše National Park, at the head of the Labe valley, between roughly 715 and 1,235 metres. The season runs from December to April — one of the longest in the country.

The resort is a cluster of villages, and the skiing is concentrated in two areas:

  • Svatý Petr — the main ski area and the busier of the two
  • Medvědín — the second area, higher up and usually quieter

One lift pass covers both. There is snowmaking, floodlit evening skiing, and the Krkonoše Ridge Trail — the main cross-country route of the range — passes through. In summer the same valley fills with hikers and mountain bikers.

Coach, train or transfer

There is no direct train: the line ends at Vrchlabí and you continue by bus. Coming from Prague by coach means a change and a timetable, and with skis and suitcases a change becomes an exercise in itself.

A transfer removes all of it — one car, door to door, skis in the back, leaving when it suits you. For four people €120 works out at €30 each, comparable to tickets but without the interchange.

Book a transfer

Send us the date, the pick-up time and address, the number of passengers, how many sets of skis you have and the name of your hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn. If you are flying in, send the flight number and the driver will meet you in arrivals.

    Frequently asked questions

How long does it take from Prague to Špindlerův Mlýn?

About two hours for 150 km. In heavy snow it takes longer, so allow a margin if you are aiming at the first lift.

    How much is the transfer?

€120 for a car carrying up to four people, €150 for a minivan carrying up to eight. The price is per car, not per passenger.

Do you take skis, and is there a surcharge?

We do, and there is none. Tell us how many sets when you book and we will send a car with the right luggage space.

Can I go for the day and come back?

Yes — that is a separate rate: €180 per car or €225 per minivan, with four hours of waiting included and €5 for each hour after that.

Will you take me right to my hotel?

Yes, to the door. Give us the hotel name when you book.

What if the road is snowed in?

The cars run on winter tyres and the driver carries chains. If a pass closes outright we warn you in advance and move the booking at no cost to you.
